Intensive contacts between Stanko Subotic and Sreten Jocic, according to Serbian Police began in the summer of 2007 at the Montenegrin coast. Their last meeting, as the police believe, took place several weeks before murder of Ivo Pukanic in the house of Slobodan Djurovic, Sreten Jocic’s Godfather, in the Town of Bar.

Serbian police believe that the plan for Pukanic’s murder was made in Djurovic’s home. According to ‘Blic’ source from the Home Ministry it was then that the amount of EUR 1.5 millions was paid for Pukanic’s murder.
This source points out that at the moment there are no concrete proofs that Stanko Subotic was in Montenegro at that time or about his direct contacts with Jocic.
‘Both Subotic and Jocic were pupils of Jovica Stanisic. He personally introduced Subotic in cigarette smuggling instead of Vanja Bokan, while Jocic belonged to a criminal group that enjoyed protection of then State security’, our source says.
